Healing so deep, so intense, so tender, so wise. The yielding to it has been difficult, but HOPE has overcome my fears and has allowed me to trust in the process that I know will ultimately bring freedom, comfort, restoration, and peace.
“I finally found the courage to “go there”.
THERE, is that place where the deepest pain imaginable
Still holds pieces of our heart.”
—Cary Tolbert (Paddles To The Heart)
As I reflect on these things, I am suddenly reminded of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. In agony, He faces the reality of what His Father has asked Him to do……. “GO THERE” on behalf of us all.
Matthew 26:36-46 (NLT) Tells us:
- He was “anguished and distressed”
- His soul was “crushed with grief to the point of death”
- He “fell on His face, and prayed”
- He asked His Father, “to take the cup of suffering away”
- He yielded His will, “Yet, I want your will to be done, not mine.”
Thank You, Precious Savior, for being willing to experience the DEEPEST PAIN IMAGINABLE in order to bring the truest healing to my heart. You know pain like no other, but You also know the way to Glory, Restoration, and Peace. You are restoring my dignity, my honor, and my worth. May You continually give me the strength and vision needed to yield myself to Your ways, for Your ways always lead to LIFE, even if sometimes I feel like I am dying in the process.
